The Municipal Garage deals with the repair, maintenance and refuelling of all vehicles-machinery of the Municipality so that they remain in good operation at all times. The Head of the Department is Mr Alekos Akonas.
The majority of vehicles start and terminate at the facilities of the Municipal Garage which is located in the area of the former Municipal Abattoir, next to the new stadium of G.S.Z. The Municipal Garage is manned by six workers and employees who are specialised in their profession.
Currently, the Municipality has 15 garbage trucks, 11 trucks, 7 semi-trucks, 3 street sweepers, 5 excavators, 21 pickup trucks, 1 tanker, 5 tractors, 1 lift truck, 5 saloon cars and 5 vans.
