The Municipal Home for the Elderly, which was established with the donation of the great benefactor of Larnaka Evanthia Pieridou in 1910, was fully refurbished by the Municipality of Larnaka during the period from 1965 to 1975.
It has the capacity to host 25 people, with two or three beds per room, and it has a workforce of 8 employees who provide care to the elderly.
It features its own laundry room for washing the residents’ clothes and kitchen for food preparation.
It provides weekly physiotherapy sessions and visit by a doctor fortnightly, in addition to the visit of each resident’s personal doctor, with the aim to provide a quality service.
